Beautiful art, charming staff, I agreed with taxi driver and shopkeepers who said it was the best restaurant in Iceland, why not mention the superb bars, good value for money, secluded but close to City Centre.
What a great little hotel--it actually has quite a bit of interesting art! The staff is fantastic--very helpful and polite. I'd definitely book there again.
The only disappointment was that the restuarant was closed the night we wished to dine there.
Excellent services and facilities, wonderful staff and ideal location. Interesting collection of art and also of brandies, whiskies and armagnacs.
I was surprised at how confortable the bed was despite how small it looked. Also I found the reception staff very helpful especially Lisa with trying to help us sort out our travel when the airport was closed.
There was no kettle or safe in the room and the tv remote was faulty
Atmosphere is great, restaurant is perfect
Top class hotel, beautifully furnished and appointed. The attached Gallery Restaurant is serious foodie heaven provided you're not on a budget of any sort...
Quiet location close to city centre, very comfortable and well-appointed
Bath/shower diverter in bathroom didn't work - reported to front desk, but nothing happened
The art gallery and the food. The entire hotel is like a huge art gallery. The staff is very friendly and the kitchen excellent. I can recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Reykjavik.
Excellent Location, Great Service, Fabulous Restaurant. They even gave us a free upgrade as they were not too fully booked. The staff were very friendly and could help with anything. Certainly a great base from which to enjoy the City of Reykjavik or from which to take any of the multiple day tours on offer (which the staff were helpful and informed of to help organise). I will stay here again next time.
Very good location. The staf was friendly and the high speed internet connection was highly appreciated.
Soundproofing needs to be improved, we could hear people talking in the room next to us, even though they were talking low.
the hotel was in a wonderful location for walking the city and also for getting out of town for day trips to the country. we liked that there was a car park and wireless internet that was included in the room price.
Roomy (a small suite), interesting collection of modern Icelandic art. Like everything in Icelkand, it is pricey. Excellent location.
They didn´t find my reservation and told me I was at the wrong hotel. I needed to show my reservation and some time later, they finally found out!! Very uncomfortable situation!
The Hotel is located close to the town centre with an excellent if expensive restaurant. The staff were very helpful.
The rooms were rather tired withan odd mix of furniture. I gave the impression that it was due for refurbishment
Beautiful lobby and public areas with great art. Enjoyed the paintings and especially the sculptures. We had a nice suite with a great view. Very comfortable.
The resturant was very expensive. For three people, it was over $300 US. Although I want to tell you the food was excellent, very gourmet, and a wonderful atmosphere. I guess we were a little surprised of the cost for meals when the hotel rates we found reasonable.
